Begonia Tuberosa

$95.00

A study in transformation through fire.

These earrings are composed of individually hand-formed porcelain beads, each one shaped, dried, and kiln-fired before undergoing a second firing with a glaze infused with glass frit. Within the kiln, the frit melts and blossoms into spontaneous patterns—soft bursts of color that cannot be replicated.

The clustered form creates a dimensional field of porcelain blooms, where structure and movement coexist. Subtle variations in tone—ivory, warm gold, and fleeting traces of citrus and coral—emerge as a direct record of the firing process.

Each pair requires multiple days of making, with no two outcomes ever repeating. The result is not simply adornment, but a small-scale ceramic composition designed to be worn.

Details:
• Approximately 50 individually hand-formed porcelain beads
• Double kiln-fired process (bisque + glaze)
• Reactive glass frit glaze creating one-of-a-kind surface blooms
• Gold-plated components
• One-of-a-kind piece

This work sits at the intersection of ceramics and jewelry—where material, heat, and chance collaborate.
